Kainji lake game reserve is a place, where you may encounter elephants, lions, hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitats. You may also visit the craft shops at Wawa and enjoy the exotic cuisine of the local communities. This game reserve is located in Niger and Kwara states of Nigeria.
Rock Paintings of Birnin Kudu are considered to be thousands of years old, which depict the lifestyle of the people that dwelled in the area of Jigawa State in times gone by. Obudu Cattle Ranch, which is situated Cross River state of Nigeria. As a tourist attraction, it has a waterfall, a gorilla habitat, and opportunities to observe a variety of birds.
Yankari National Parks Yankari National Parks obtained its present status (a National Park) in 1991 and it has an area of 2,250.10 km. Its location is in Alkaleri Local Government area of Baauchi State about 115km from Bauchi town. 52 recorded species of animals including elephants, hippos, hartebeests, baboons etc and variety of birds and fishes, marshall caves for those who are interested in caving.
Gashaka Gumit National Park This is the most picturesque of all the National Parks in Nigeria. The Park covers an area of 6,402 sq km. It is also the most important site for nature tourism with pleasant temperate climate, beautiful sceneries as mountain valleys, rivers streams etc. Park is a hover to some very highly endangered species for wildlife. It contains some historic sites, such as the Old Germain Fort at the Gashaka Hill. Here you can encounter chimpanzees, cheetah, loepard, giant forest hog, colombos monkey etc. The Park is also a spawning ground for some fish species such as Nile perch, electric fish, tilapia etc.
