Morocco boasts of the widest variety of climates of all North African countries- it is possible to travel from the snows of the Atlas Mountains to the sands of the Sahara Desert in a day. Guests may also relish a Mediterranean climate to the north ranging to sub-tropical in the south. Morocco’s temperatures may vary widely depending on altitude and latitude.

Time to go:The weather on the coast is luring almost all year round, though winter can bring cool and wet conditions in the north. The cooler months in the lowlands are from October to April and they are popular among guests. During this period the weather is pleasantly warm to hot (around 86°F) during the day and cool to cold (around 60°F) at night. If you head in winter to the higher regions, take lots of warm clothing.

Geography and Climate: The country is located in the northwestern corner of Africa and borders with Mauritania and Algeria, both to the south and east. There are no less than 4 separate mountain ranges in Morocco, as well as lush river valleys, beautiful sandy coasts, and wide expanses of desert.

Passport and Visa Information
Nationalities requiring a passport are British, Australian, Canadian, USA, and other EU. Visa for the above mentioned citizens is not required, as well as the return ticket. If your nationality is not mentioned, check the requirements at the consulate.

Visas are not required by nationals of countries mentioned above for stays of up to three months, except nationals of Hungary who can stay for up to 30 days.

Note: You may not be allowed to enter the country if you have a “hippy appearance”. There is an extension of six months available for visa-exempt nationals upon request at the main police station in town.
