Kenyan Reserves
Aberdare National Park
Altitude 7,000-14,000ft. Area 767 SQ km. Distance from Nairobi 180 km. Mweiga and Nyeri airstrip. It was founded May 1950.

The Aberdare National Park is located in the Aberdare Mountain Range, a marvelous region of Kenya. Mountain ranges and peaks hover around 14000Ft, which sceneries are ideal for landscape lovers.

Game observing is not less fascinating. Lion, leopards, baboon, black and white Columbus and Sykes are plentiful. Rare sighting of the golden cats, bongo, a rare and evasive forest antelope, elephant, buffalo, giant forest hog and Kenya's local and endangered black rhino.

Samburu, Buffalo Springs National Reserve
Altitude 2,500-4,000Ft Area Samburu 104 sq km. Area Buffalo Springs 131 sq km. Distance from Nairobi 343 km. Founded in 1985.

Here one can enjoy unique plenty of rounded, rugged hills and squiggly plains. The mix of wood and grassland with fluvial forest and bog is inhabited with wide variety of animal and birdlife. Buffalo Springs is a home for 365 species of bird.

Excellent game observing and visibility of such animals as reticulated giraffe, grevy's zebra, elephant, Oryx, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, lion and hyena.

Tsavo East National Park
Altitude 500-4000ft. Area 11747 sq km. Distance from Nairobi 333 km. Found in April 1948.

Tsavo East is one of Kenya's oldest and largest National Parks. It is recognized as one of the worlds leading biodiversity bulwarks, bushy grassland and open plains alternate with semi-arid acacia shrubs and woods. Green areas cross the park where the lush vegetation grows due to the river waters. A true wilderness stretches in the North of Galana. Here you can enjoy a camel safaris.

The photographers adore Tsavo-East for its fabulous light and incredible views, in particular the Mudanda Rock and the Yatta Plateau the world largest Lava flow. Lugard falls on the Galana River are famous for the shaped water-polished rocks. Here you may observe such game as the largest herds of elephant in Kenya, rhino, lion, leopard, crocodile, waterbuck, gerenuk, zebra and hunter's hartebeest with its lyre-shaped horns. 500 bird species have been indexed in the area as well as ostrich and some migratory kestrels while buzzards stop at Tsavo East as they fly south.
