You should have a visa if you are not continuing the journey by the same or first connecting aircraft within 48 hours, if not producing valid onward or return documentation and not leaving the airport. The exception is French nationals.
Your passport is to be valid for 6 months required by all, in addition to the evidence of sufficient funds and a return ticket.
Types of visa and their cost
Tourist and Business. Single-entry: US$69 (one month); US$125 (two months); US$180 (three months); US$249 (six months). Multiple-entry: US$112 (one month); US$167 (two months); US$208 (three months); US$333 (six months). Transit: US$41 (seven days).
Validity
Three month from date of issue, although multiples are available.

Application requirements are as following:
1) Stamped, self-addressed envelope (or cost of return postage) for postal applications
2) One application form
3) Passport valid for at least six months.
4) One passport-size photo
5) Yellow fever vaccination certificate.
6) Fee (payable on submission of documents for application of visa; cash or postal orders only). 7) Return or onward travel documentation or itinerary from travel agent.
A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required by travelers over one year of age.
A cholera vaccination certificate is not an official condition of entry to Congo (Democratic Republic of). Immunization for typhoid is advisable and vaccination against poliomyelitis is sometimes recommended. Malaria risk exists throughout the year in the whole country. The recommended prophylaxis is mefloquine.
Weather Conditions
The climate differs according to distance from the Equator, which lies across the north of the country. December to February is the dry season in the north, and in the south, April to October. The humidity is high and annual temperatures are warm.
