Types of visa and cost
Ordinary: US$10.

Validity of a visa is two weeks.

Visas are issued on arrival in Comoros or by some of their diplomatic representations, such as Antananarivo, Cairo, Paris and London (the Honorary Consulate in London can issue a tourist visa valid for 90 days for £10).

Application requirements are as following:
1) Application form (provided at airport).
2) Valid passport with at least three months' remaining validity.
3) Two passport-sized photos for visas issued outside the country.
4) Fee (payable in Comoros Francs, Euros or US Dollars only).

Some travelers who visited areas infected with yellow fever have been required to show inoculation certificates, but this is not an official policy. A cholera vaccination certificate is not an official condition of entry to the Comoro Islands. Typhoid fevers are present.

Malaria risk exists all year throughout the whole country. It is recommended to use mefloquine as prophylaxis.

Comoros Weather Conditions
The climate is tropical and rather warm. Coastal areas are hot and very moist along with rains and seasonal cyclones (January to April). The upland areas are cooler, particularly at night, and have higher rainfall. The rainy season is from November to April.
