Passports All the visitors require a passport. It should be valid for at least six months.
Visas Required by all except the following: (a) nationals of ECOWAS countries, Angola and South Africa; (b) former nationals of Cape Verde, their spouses and children, if producing any document of origin; (c) those traveling to a third destination if holding onward documentation and not leaving the airport.
Types of visa and cost Transit, Tourist, Business: US$45 (single entry); US$85 (multiple-entry, for Business visas only); paid by check or postal order. Prices may change - consult at nearest Embassy or Consulate for details.
Validity Visas are valid for six months from date of issue for visits up to 90 days, multiple-entry visas are valid for up to one year. Note: US nationals can get visas valid for five years.

The requirements are: 1) Two passport-size photos. 2) One application form. 3) Valid passport. 4) Fee. 5) Return/onward ticket. 6) A stamped addressed envelope if applying by mail.
A cholera vaccination certificate is not required to enter the Cape Verde. A certificate of yellow fever vaccination is required if traveling from other countries in the endemic zone.
Typhoid fever is widespread and vaccination may be required. Polio vaccination may also be recommended. There is also a limited risk of malaria from September to November on São Tiago Island.
Cape Verde Weather Generally temperate, but rainfall is very low. The rainy season is August to October when rainfall is unpredictable.
